Located in the foothills of North Carolina, North Wilkesboro is full of mountain heritage and traditions. Home to numerous historic places and museums, wineries, distilleries, a several recreation areas, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Looking to get out of town for the weekend, take a quick one-hour drive and explore Winston-Salem or Charlotte. Our team provides a wide variety of medical services for dogs, cats, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, small farm animals and chickens. What You’ll Be Working On Build and maintain current and prospective client relationships Preventative wellness care, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animal cases Perform small animal surgeries with opportunity for mentorship Ensure quality care and environment for both staff and clients Qualifications DVM or equivalent from an accredited program is required Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of North Carolina required Minimum of two years of experience preferred but will consider new graduates Experience working in a private practice setting preferred Flexible with scheduled - must be available to work every other Saturday Knowledge and experience working internal medicine cases preferred Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail What’s In It For You Base salary PLUS quarterly commission bonus Health and dental insurance CE stipend and travel expenses coverage Disability insurance Liability insurance Licensing, DEA license, and AVMA dues coverage 401K Paid time off Closed on major holidays Discounts on products and services Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: Yes
