Guide to Applying through PowerSchool Applicant Tracking

To apply for a position with Wilkes County Schools, click "apply" in the vacancy posting. The job listings platform will prompt you to enter an account username and password. If you do not have an active PowerSchool Applicant Tracking account, the system will guide you through creating one. This account will permit you to apply for any vacant position. A valid email address is required to set up an account. If you need an email address, create one for free using Google or YahooOnly applicants who complete the full application process will be considered for an interview.
 

What information will I need to have when applying for a position?

It is recommended that you have the following information readily available when applying for a position:
  • Personal Information
  • Academic History
  • Teacher Licensure Information (if applying for a licensed position)
  • Praxis/Pearson Scores (if applying for a licensed position)
  • Employment History
  • Resume
  • Cover Letter
  • 3 References and Contact Information

Interested in Becoming a Teacher Assistant?

Federal guidelines require one of the following for all Teacher Assistants:
  • a 2-year degree;
  • 48 hours of course credit; or, 
  • Work Keys assessments.
You must have at least one of these to be considered an eligible applicant.
